AUGUST 29, 2010 - SITCOM AND REGGAE

SIX SHORT SONGS on the theme of cheezy euro disco were produced and delivered for comedy production company Larsson & Thörn Arkitekter during the first half of August, including anthemic hits such as 'Soy Sausage', 'Euro Disco Dancer' and 'Deep Manly Voice'. Vocoders and blatant pitch correction galore!

THE MASTERING OF Treklang Reggae's amazing second album will kick off September here at the Lab.

JULY 26, 2010 - BORG 64 RECORDINGS IN PROCESS

THIS BAND IS MOST DEFINITELY one of those slow moving, procrastinating kind of bands your parents used to warn you about signing to your already debt-ridden indie label. That said, we're currently running short bursts of pink noise through different distortion paths in a haphazardous attempt of ending up with enough material for some sort of release. And naturally, we'll want you to release this on your already debt-ridden indie label. Don't worry, we'll be in touch.

JULY 20, 2010 - NEW JET LINK EP 'TOTALLJUD' RELEASED

JET LINK'S NEW CD EP, Totalljud, is now available for order through the band. The whole business will set you back a measly 40 SEK, so just go for it and support the indie DIY scene, mmkay? Four tracks recorded at legendary Tambourine Studios down the southern parts, mixed and mastered by yours truly at BORGLAB.

THEIR PREVIOUS EP, the 2009 three track CD release Rymdljud, was mastered here as well and is available in a similar fashion for 30 SEK.

MAY 16, 2010 - FINALLY SOME BLACK METAL!

THE MIXES OF Ghamorean’s upcoming album Terra Ruina has been sent off to mastering; the mighty Bob Macc of Subvert Central Mastering was given the captain's chair for this one. Rest assured, everything was distorted at least thrice on this blackened death metal feast. At least!

MAY 15, 2010 - NEW WEBBIE UP!

IF YOU’RE READING THIS, I actually managed to somehow stop procrastinating for a day or so and got this here new BORGLAB website up, running and claiming a tiny bit of cyberspace for itself. Lots of stuff and sections left to finish, but all in due time. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy your stay.

ELEVEN TRACKS WERE mastered for Skåne Nu's album. Crazy mix of rock, pop, punk and reggae, recorded and mixed on classic old-schol vibey stuff!

JANUARY 2010 - A BEAR QUARTET REMIX, SOME MONOLOG X AND HALF A GRINDCORE ALBUM

LACK OF UPDATES doesn't equal lack of work; the Strange Maps remix of Bear Quartet's 'Carry Your Weight' was mastered along with two Monolog X album/EP releases in the later parts of last year. This master abuser of old hardware spring reverbs, Monolog X is also releasing his new album called 'Zoo Humans' before the end of the month, mastered and printed just now by yours truly.

THE MAD GRINDCORE folks Bingo's new album should be out this summer through Discouraged Records in the shape of a double vinyl titled 'Ett Grindslagsmål I Två Delar'. Fast, angry and great - one LP containing some older material was completely remastered at BORGLAB! We like to think it made for the better half. ;-)

DEATH METAL/PROGRESSIVE HARDCORE outfit Moloken's debut album 'Our Astral Circle' was released on September 9. Or, if you're of the numerological persuasion, 09/09/09. Different, raw, and kicking ass, the reception - and reviews - so far have been outstanding.
